Halloween 2008

Its been a tradition for our family just like other Filipino families in the Philippines to visit our love ones who passed away during the 2 days celebration of All Souls Day. Traditionally on the 2nd day we traveled to the place where my mother was born and grew up and mostly of her family were buried. It's been a couple of hours ride from Davao City glad that we have a small cab to took the entire family. I just talked to mama yesterday, and they are planning to travel on the 2ND of November to the province together with my aunts family. Its gonna be a blast since they have a tons of children to take care of in the entire trip. Tomorrow they are going to visit my brother and grandpa's grave then headed to my papa's grave late in the afternoon. I guess they are going home late since the cemetery where papa's grave located is quite safer for the children because its private and fully fenced. Our relatives are coming over and I know its gonna be a blast. Never ending chitchatting, playing boardgames and tons of foods. I am terribly missed this kind of event, its been 3 years since the last time I joined them. Oh well this is the reality I am far away from home and be with my husband. Hoping soon we can join them, just cross my finger. Have a safe Halloween everyone. Enjoy your day!

Craving for Biko

Please beg with me I don't know what exactly the English term of Biko (lol). It is a rice cake? don't have a clue at all. I don't really love to eat this kind of delicacy but when we went to Asian store the owner keeps bugging me to cook a rice cake that she was craving lately. Hmmp, shes a Filipino and a dearly friend of ours so I bought a pack of glutinous rice and give my best shot. I asked mama about her recipe's over the phone so I hurriedly cook and it turned out good. Glad that Ate Merly and her loves it. I bake it with a condensed milk toppings and tons of coconut cream. I have still glutinous rice left over in the pantry, hope to bake again when the Filipino community here have a thanksgiving party. Well see if my laziness never strikes (lol).

San Francisco Here We Come!

Yes, its officially we are going to San Francisco, Ca on the 16th of November till 20th this year. We already booked the flight and the hotel we stay there. Times like this, I know its not the right time to spend unexpected expenses because of our ailing economy. But I need to renew my Philippine passport before its expire next month (ASAP). Its readable passport and they need my appearance before its renew. Our state belongs to Philippines Embassy in San Francisco, California so we are headed there. I have to admit I am pretty excited, this is my first time to explore this city and of course the famous Golden Gate.

I have my permanent green card and pretty soon my new Philippine passport. What's next? My much awaited Philippines vacation yahooo...hope it will very soon.

My Apology

That I've never drop an EC today. I tried many times starting this morning and boy its getting late this afternoon and I'm still undone.The EC Website acting weird today. I give up and try it later, I dunno what's the problem with the website. Might be the weather because we are having a snowfall this evening or its just the website acting weird(lol). Well I try my luck tonight and give up this moment I have a tons of house chores to be done before hubby's coming home. If not, I have a double time dropping tomorrow morning, again to my constant EC droppers my apology.

Enough ranting... go back to work (lol)...

Second Presidential Debate

Less than a month and it's a Presidential Election in USA. We were anticipated for the 2nd Presidential debate last night. Call me an Obama Mama (lol) but his a quite smarter that his opponent. If I am allowed to vote this year, cast my vote to him. As for me, his for knowledgeable in governments law than McCain. Oh well I just wish that the next President will lead this government into right way. I mean, more productive and save our ailing economy that we encountered lately.

This is my niece Jade Michaela Ibanez. I took this picture when she was 3 months old the day before my departure in USA. She's 3 years old right now and loves to talked on the phone when I called back home. Boy I am terribly missed her with my other 3 older pamangkins. She grew up with my mama's care and her sole companion at home.

September Constant EC Dropper
